IEEE Global Communications Conference
4–8 December 2023 // Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Best Paper Awards

Congratulations to all GLOBECOM 2023 Best Paper Award recipients!

This year, the 17 award winners include: 12 Symposium papers (one paper from each Symposium), 3 SAC track papers (one paper from the SAC-MLC (Machine Learning for Communications) track and two papers selected among the other tracks), and, for the first time, 2 Workshop papers.

All 1260 accepted papers, selected from 3200 submissions to the conference, were eligible for the award. The Best Paper Awards Committee received 56 nominations representing the top 4.5% of accepted papers. Symposium, SAC Track, and Workshop Co-Chairs considered the reviewers’ scores and their own assessment in nominating papers. The Committee received two papers nominated from each Symposium and the SAC-MLC track, and one paper each nominated from 12 other SAC tracks and 18 Workshops.

The nominated papers were grouped into 17 Award Categories and each Award Category was assigned to exactly three Committee Members. The best paper for each Award Category was selected based on 1) each paper’s nomination statement, 2) the assessment of the Committee Members, and 3) the Committee Members’ rankings.
